Unlocking the 40+ Grimdark Roster
Warhammer Survivors launches with an enormous roster of over 40 champions. While legendary icons like Malum Caedo, Trooper Kozlowski, and Neave Blacktalon are unlocked from your very first session, the vast majority of heroes must be earned through combat achievements, survival records, and boss defeats.
To see how all these heroes perform in combat, consult our Champions Tier List and master Evolution Recipes List.

Progression Strategies for Rapid Unlocks
To efficiently unlock the full roster:
1. Chain Your Weapon Evolutions
Many champions unlock simply by executing weapon evolutions. Follow our Evolution Guide to consistently evolve 3 to 4 weapons per run. Evolving the Heavy Bolter, Meltagun, and Eviscerator in sequence clears multiple character milestones simultaneously.
2. Hunt Wave Bosses
Elite heroes like the Callidus Assassin are locked behind defeating specific Extremis bosses. Learn the attack patterns in our Extremis Bosses Overview and Ghazghkull Thraka Boss Guide to secure these victories early.
3. Invest in Armoury Gold Multipliers
Because unlocking a hero requires paying an Armoury recruitment fee, prioritize the 'Greed' bonus in the Armoury Meta Progression to boost gold income per run by up to +50%.
Complete these milestones to assemble your ultimate warband and dominate every grimdark battlefield.
